About Triloka
A small charity building a long-term learning ecology
Triloka Holistic Society is a Canadian registered charity devoted to education in Buddhist teachings and meditation practices, holistic living and wellness, and permaculture and ecological sustainability.
Triloka is not a Buddhist academy. It is a broader educational and living-research initiative whose inner foundation includes substantial non-sectarian Buddhist learning and practice.
“Holistic” means attending to relationships among mind, body, daily life, land, technology and community. It does not mean that Triloka provides every professional service or that every traditional method is inherently safe or effective.
A wish that waited for its conditions
Triloka began with a long-held wish for an online-and-offline, non-sectarian place of Buddhist learning. Over time, classical study, monastic life, holistic living, land, governance, difficult legal and documentary work, and the emergence of AI-assisted systems gradually became one coherent public-benefit undertaking.
Truthful formation: Triloka does not present a forming institution as already complete. A pilot is called a pilot; a possibility is called exploring; a private place is not described as a public centre.
Governance
Organizational overview
Triloka is governed by a three-person Board of Directors. Its founder leads day-to-day development within Board-approved frameworks. Corporate records are maintained under Board-authorized governance. AI Agents support repeatable research, validation, testing, document control and operations, but do not hold corporate office or reserved decision authority.
The Board retains responsibility for mission, charitable purposes, foundational principles, major legal and privacy matters, material finance and property decisions, regulated activities, dignity and irreversible commitments.
